What To Expect


  1. If you have a fever over 100. 4 degrees Fahrenheit, or if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick - please stay home.

  2.  Remember to continue your due diligence of social distancing.

  3.  GOOD NEWS!  Individuals who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear a mask in church!
    **This will be an honor system, and no one should question another person.**

  4.  Plan to give your name and phone number to the door greeter.

  5.  A seating usher will seat you for social distancing.  Families may sit together.

  6.  More GOOD NEWS!  We are now permitted to softly SING!

  7.  Bulletins are provided if you would like, but the service order and words are also available on the TV screens in the sanctuary.

  8.  If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 during the week after being at Sunday service, please contact the church office immediately to let us know.

meet Rev. Heaton

Rev. Gary Heaton grew up in Fairfax County.  He has served several churches in the Virginia United Methodist Conference since 1986, including Front Royal UMC (12 years), Greene Memorial in Roanoke, and most recently, First UMC in Charlottesville.  Rev. Heaton is a graduate of High Point College and Wesley Theological Seminary.  He and his wife, Beth, share a love of the outdoors and enjoy canoeing and hiking together and engaging in outdoor ministry.  They have three daughters, two son-in-laws, and two grandchildren - VeraLynn & James.  Rev. Heaton's grandfather was also a Methodist minister and helped to shape Gary's spiritual formation.
